Growing up my family was, well, I will just say it, poor. Living off of ramen noodles, hot dogs, bologna sandwiches, etc, I had no idea what healthy eating habits were. However, sports kept me in decent shape. Then later, after graduating high school, busy with school and work, I wasn’t thinking about what I was eating or about keeping active. Before I knew it, I was putting on weight fast!
A bodybuilder friend suggested I try working out. My first day at the gym, I immediately felt intimidated by all the 6 pack abs, toned arms, strong legs, etc. But, I set my fears aside and I did it anyway! I continued to work out and I started seeing results. This inspired me to eat better, cutting fried food and pasta replacing them with lean meats and veggies. After a year, I lost 37 pounds!
During this process, I was self taught and had come a long way. I got so inspired that I wanted to help other people lose weight just like me. I soon earned my NASM personal trainer certification. My first client was my mom! She lost 50 pounds and I couldn’t have been more proud. I have been working as a trainer ever since helping my clients get amazing results! It makes me very proud. I continue to educate myself on diet and exercise so I can be the best trainer out there!
